And while fans and the media love to obsess over who wore what and how, sometimes A-listers who didn\u2019t even go get drawn into the conversation. Take, for instance, Billie Eilish<\/a>. <\/p>\n \n\tWhile it certainly seemed like she dove into this year\u2019s theme of \u201cSuperfine: Tailoring Black Style\u201d with her oversized blue suit accented by rose on her lapel, don\u2019t believe the hype. Eilish posted a video on Wednesday (May 14) debunking the reports that she made the scene in New York, noting that she was more than 3,000 miles away.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cSeeing people talk about what I wore to this year Met Gala being \u2018trash,’\u201d Eilish began in an Instagram Story<\/a> in which she casually chomped on an ice cream cone. \u201cI wasn\u2019t there!\u201d she added before busting into an elated cackle. \u201cThat\u2019s AI! I had a show in Europe that night. Let me be! I wasn\u2019t even there!\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIn fact, Eilish was in Amsterdam for a series of shows on May 4 and 5 (the night of the Gala) at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. <\/p>\n \n\tEilish wasn\u2019t alone in getting artificially inserted into the conversation while on tour. There were also AI images of Katy Perry that made the rounds, which the \u201cWoman\u2019s World\u201d singer swatted away by posting a pic on Instagram<\/a> the day after the Gala in which she is wearing an unconstructed black pin-striped jacket and liquid latex skirt with the message, \u201ccouldn\u2019t make it to the MET, I\u2019m on The Lifetimes Tour (see you in Houston tomorrow IRL\u203c\ufe0f) P.s. this year I was actually with my mom so she\u2019s safe from the bots but I\u2019m praying for the rest of y\u2019all.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
