\n\tAs the questions surrounding Oasis<\/a>\u2018 fast-approaching reunion tour continue to swirl, longtime bassist Andy Bell<\/a> has confirmed his presence within the lineup.<\/p>\n

\n\tBell\u2019s presence was confirmed in a recent conversation with Austrian outlet OE24<\/em><\/a>, who spoke to Bell following a performance in the country by his band Ride. \u201cYes, I\u2019m in and I\u2019m really looking forward to it,\u201d Bell noted. \u201cWe\u2019ll see each other on tour. Or rather, you\u2019ll see me, because I\u2019ll hardly be able to spot you in the audience!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNews of Bell\u2019s involvement gained traction<\/a> in March after NME<\/em><\/a> reported that \u201csources working closely with the band and tour\u201d had outlined who would be performing with the Gallaghers onstage this year.<\/p>\n

\n\tAt the time of their split in 2009, Oasis officially featured Gem Archer on guitar, with Bell taking on bass, guitar, and keyboards. A series of touring drummers had sat behind the kit since the 2004 departure of Alan \u201cWhitey\u201d White, with Chris Sharrock holding the beat at their final shows.<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to the March report, the forthcoming version of the band would see the Gallaghers joined by Archer and Bell, along with Oasis co-founder Paul \u201cBonehead\u201d Arthurs, and Joey Waronker, who has previously performed with R.E.M., Beck, Roger Waters, and more.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cNME tell me who your source pots are that keep giving you info about OASIS and I\u2019ll give you an exclusive interview about up n coming OASIS tour,\u201d Liam Gallagher<\/a> wrote<\/a> in response to the report. \u201cYou can have it all but how much do you want it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBell \u2013 who had performed in Oasis since 1999 and later joined Liam Gallagher, Archer and Sharrock as a member of Beady Eye \u2013 previously sparked speculation of a reunion from the group in April 2024 when he was asked<\/a> by Virgin Radio U.K.\u2019s Andy Goldstein whether the band could ever perform together again.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m going to say a qualified yeah, I think they will at the end of the day,\u201d Bell said. \u201cI don\u2019t think it looks likely right now, but I think life is long, isn\u2019t it?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLiam Gallagher responded<\/a> to Bell\u2019s comments on social media, writing, \u201cAndy bell from ride the shoe gazing phenomenon should really not be getting people\u2019s hopes up it\u2019s not big and and it\u2019s not clever.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen pressed by a fan who claimed Bell was simply noting what Gallagher himself had claimed in the past, the vocalist claimed, \u201cI\u2019ve never mentioned oasis reunion it\u2019s over we must all really move in for our own mental health.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTo date, Oasis have lined up more than 40 dates for their Live \u201925 outing, which will hit stadiums in the U.K., North America, Asia, Australia and South America from July through November. So far, the only participants confirmed by the Gallaghers to appear are the brothers themselves \u2014 who have not shared a stage since August 2009.<\/p>\n

\n\tNews of Bell\u2019s self-confirmation comes soon after Alec McKinlay, who heads the band\u2019s Ignition Management and Big Brother Recordings, Oasis\u2019 U.K. label, disputed claims<\/a> from Liam Gallagher that the band had a new album in the works.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis is very much the last time around, as Noel\u2019s made clear in the press,\u201d McKinlay said in an interview with Music Week<\/em><\/a> published Tuesday (May 13). \u201cIt\u2019s a chance for fans who haven\u2019t seen the band to see them, or at least for some of them to. But no, there\u2019s no plan for any new music.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
