\n\tAriana Grande<\/a> will happily sing Sabrina Carpenter<\/a>\u2018s \u201cEspresso,\u201d in case anyone thought otherwise \u2014 or at least do a dramatic reading of the lyrics.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis is \u2018Espresso\u2019 by Sabrina Carpenter? What is it doing here?\u201d she asks in a video uploaded by W Magazine<\/em> on Saturday (Feb. 1), where she\u2019s on an interview set and soon learns that the mag\u2019s team intended to ask others to sing the pop<\/a> hit for a segment of \u201cLyrical Improv.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou weren\u2019t going to ask me to sing?\u201d Grande cuts in. When she\u2019s told they didn\u2019t think she\u2019d want to take part, she issues a correction: \u201cYou\u2019re mistaken, ma\u2019am.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGrande and Wicked<\/em> co-star Cynthia Erivo<\/a> make the cut in the final version of W<\/em>\u2018s \u201cEspresso\u201d line-by-line (mostly) sing-along video, as do Selena Gomez<\/a>, Saoirse Ronan, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Harris Dickinson and more. \u201cIt\u2019s safe to say Sabrina does it better,\u201d Gomez quips at the end.<\/p>\n

\n\tAlthough Ronan seems maybe the most excited to take part, and knows the tune well, she admits that before joining in on the fun she actually thought Carpenter\u2019s song was called \u201cNespresso<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCarpenter\u2019s set to perform live at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday. No word on what she\u2019ll be singing, but \u201cEspresso\u201d did earn best pop solo performance and record of the year nominations. Carpenter is also up for song of the year for \u201cPlease Please Please,\u201d and her Short n\u2019 Sweet<\/em> collection is nominated for pop vocal album and album of the year. Plus, Carpenter is nominated for best new artist after her breakthrough year, making it a total of six Grammy nominations for her at the ceremony.<\/p>\n
